About the artist...
Elisabeth L Murray (elm) is a local Brisbane artist, working in ceramics, acrylic painting, mixed media, ink and watercolour.
She studied Visual arts at Southbank TAFE, Completed Ceramics 1 at Brisbane Institute of art BIA, and completed other small courses in art ( True Colours) and Ceramics (Mudlarks Pottery) Art lessons with Brisbane artist Dianne Minnaar.
Elisabeth has been a member of Visionaries art group for many years, and has worked with a number of community organisations like; New Hope Care, Brisbane City Council, Young Parents Program, Visible Ink and RSPCA when she was younger.
Elisabeth has worked on commission bases creating painted artworks for homes and workplace. She has curated exhibitions for fundraising, led workshops, classes, created promotional and educational material and also contributed her own artworks to fundraising efforts around Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Elisabeth has participated in over 15 exhibitions on Gold Coast and in Brisbane City.
Elisabeth has facilitated art workshops teaching and guiding students through painting fundamentals, mixed media techniques and the deeper issues of the creative heart. Also tutoring students young and old in her home.
Elisabeth has also performed live painting at church services, weddings, school, retail store, small meetings, conferences and on Christian television.
With over 20 years experience creating and sharing art, Elisabeth deepest desire is to continue to explore and grow. She finds the greatest satisfaction in uncovering the hidden potential within herself and using those discoveries to inspire others to do the same.
